About Multiple Training Mode

In one of our earlier blog we have talked about that Allerbi has the capability for both training and exercise, this feature is called Allerbi Multiple Riding Mode. But really, how does it work from a rider point of view? How can it help people with different purpose? Today we will get a little bit deeper into it.
Allerbi Multiple Riding Mode currently has three modes, they are Training Mode, Exercise Mode and Leisure Mode.
Roughly speaking, Training Mode is for cyclists and fitness enthusiasts, Exercise Mode is fitness enthusiasts and general public, and Leisure Mode is for people who prefer exercising in a more relaxing pace or rehabilitation. Among these three riding modes, the resistance of Training Mode is the closest to the real resistance on road.
To make it simple to explain the the main difference of these three modes, just imagine there is resistance curves, the resistance curve for Training Mode is much steeper that that of Leisure Mode with the one of Exercise Mode in the middle.
So for example, on a route with 5% slope, the resistance for a rider on Training Mode is much higher than that for a rider on Leisure Mode on the condition they ride at the same speed and gear ratio.
On the same condition if the slope changes to 7%, the increase of resistance at Training Mode is much higher than that at Leisure Mode.
So for the same route, you can use it for training purpose in high power, you can also use it just for warming up/cooling down or sight viewing. It all depends on what you need.
To clarify, although we use the resistance curve to explain the difference, the real resistance calculation is much more complicated than a curve as riding speed, route surface, wind speed and rider profile are all factors addition to route slope. Allerbi uses a very comprehensive and complicated algorithm to calculate resistance.
We hope this gives you a clearer picture of the Allerbi Multiple Riding Mode. Together with Allerbi Virtual Gear Shifting that enables to choose gear ratios, you can enjoy pretty much all the riding routes in the world. Want to experience the view of the Tour de France? Go ahead, just ride!
