This Alpine Road route sits at San Francisco Bay Area west of world famous Silicon Valley. The route starts at a scenic viewpoint at the intersection of Alpine Road and Portola State Park Road and heads to west. At the intersection with La Honda Road (State Route 84), the route makes a left turn on La Honda Road and rides all the way toward the coast until it meets the California 1 (State Route 1). At California 1, the route makes left turn and stops at San Gregorio State Beach.
The route has some climbs and downhills and passes several charming small villages, so it is really fun to ride. The route is moderate long at around 14 miles, not that difficult but not easy either, most people should be able to do it.
