This is a city route, it starts from the intersection of Market Street and 5th Street in San Francisco downtown and then ride along the Market Street toward the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. At Embarcadero, turn left and ride on the Embarcadero to the Fisherman’s Wharf. Continue riding, after passing Aquatic Park and Great Medow Park, you will reach Marina Blvd. Continue riding along the Marina Blvd all the way to the end and you will arrive the Fort Point National Historic Site, which is at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The ride on the Market Street is the typical city street ride with skyscrapers on both sides of you, you will see buses, pedestrian and other cyclist, it is just fun to experience it. The ride on the Embarcadero is a little bit different because you reach the sea, the sight suddenly becomes open, the street is also much wider with piers and sea on your right side and low buildings and hills on your left side. The ride closing to the Golden Gate Bridge is different from both, just experience it and feel the difference!
The ride is beautiful and passes many famous San Francisco landmarks, want to have a quick view of the route? Check the video at Allerbi Youtube, enjoy!
