Lakeshore Road, Lake Mead, Nevada, United States

Lake Mead basically is a reservoir on the Colorado River, it is located in the both Nevada and Arizona, 24 mi (39 km) east of Las Vegas. The lake was formed by the Hoover Dam and is the largest reservoir in the US in terms of water capacity.

Lakeshore Road is along the west coast of the lake in the state of Nevada, there are a couple of beaches, a marina and several overlooks along the route. Big part of the road is in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

The route starts at the Lake Mead Visitor Center outside of the national park entrance, and ends at Rocky Point Overlook with a total distance of 9 miles (14.5 km). The route is paved in very good condition but it does has some up and downs. The route is beautiful, you will definitely enjoy it 🙂
